The Explorer Recliner Wheelchair offers users wide range of reclining and positioning options, delivering the ideal combination of comfort, control and independence for active daily living. The Explorer Recliner Wheelchair redefines personal mobility, combining robust construction, advanced features and user-focused design. 

  • Fully Adjustable Reclining – The backrest reclines from 100° to 130° using an integrated air-spring mechanism, providing comfort for relaxation, pressure relief, or napping on the go.
  • Seat/inner Frame Tilt - The backrest angle can be adjusted independently of the inner seat frame angle (tilt) so you can achieve almost any angle/position required.
  • Durable Yet Lightweight – Constructed from 22mm aluminium alloy, the frame supports users up to 100kg and tilts and folds effortlessly for easy transport and storage.
  • Smooth Ride & Dual Brakes – PU front wheels and 20" puncture-proof magnesium alloy rear wheels deliver a smooth ride, with dual brakes for safe, easy control.
  • Built-in Seat Belt – An integrated pelvic belt provides safety and stability whether seated or on the move.
  • Optional Activity Tray – Sturdy Perspex tray for meals, reading and daily tasks, enhancing independence and convenience.

Explorer Recliner Wheelchair Features

The backrest can be adjusted from 100° to 130° to enable you to you relax, read, or nap easily—powered by a smooth air-spring support rod for effortless, jerk-free movement, even when the chair is occupied. The backrest angle can be adjusted at the same time as the seat angle (tilt) allowing maximum angle adjustment. Optional balance bar: provides extra back support, allowing customisation to suit individual posture needs

The Recliner features a high backrest with a removable U-shaped pillow offers excellent head and neck support, both easy to clean and maintain. The double-layer seat back cushion combines plush comfort with durability, featuring breathable mesh and Oxford cloth for lasting use.

Flip-up, height adjustable and detachable Soft padded armrests make side transfers safe and easy with swing-away, detachable leg-rests simplify forward transfers. Footrests adjust to five heights and rotate ±180° to suit your leg position. Included heel straps keep feet secure and supported during use.
